Travel, get a job, and work legally in New Zealand

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1: Can I travel to New Zealand on a Visitor Visa and then get a job?

Yes. You can travel on a Visitor Visa (or NZeTA if you are from a visa-waiver country). Once you arrive, we will assist you in securing a job offer with one of our accredited partner employers.

Q2: Why do employers want me to come first before giving me a job offer?

Our partner employers in New Zealand prefer to meet applicants face-to-face before issuing a job offer. This allows them to see you in person, understand your personality and commitment, and gives you a chance to build trust with them directly.

Q3: What kind of jobs are available?

We work closely with accredited employers in New Zealand, mainly in the agriculture and logistics sectors. Current positions include:

  • Fruit Picker / Seasonal Farm Worker
  • Forklift Operator
  • Greenhouse Worker
  • General Farm Assistant
  • Packhouse Worker
  • Other roles within the agriculture sector

Q4: What is the salary range for these jobs?

Workers in these roles typically earn between NZD $23 – $28 per hour, depending on the employer and hours worked. On average, this equals about NZD $920 – $1,200 per week (before tax).

Q5: How much do I pay for JimExpress services?

Our services involve a two-part fee:

  • $200: Paid upfront for document preparation and guidance.
  • $250: Paid after your Visitor Visa is approved, covering final placement coordination.

Total: $450

Q6: What happens after I get a job offer?

Once you receive your job offer, the employer will assist you in applying for your Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV). This visa will legally allow you to work in New Zealand.

Q7: How long does the process take?

  • Document Preparation (with our support): 1–2 weeks
  • Visa Processing (after submission): 2–3 weeks

Q8: Why should I choose this pathway?

This pathway gives you the opportunity to enter New Zealand smoothly, meet employers in person, and transition into legal employment within a short timeframe. It ensures transparency, trust, and direct connection with your future employer.
